PSP goes pink too

SCEE has backed its decision to release a pink PS2 later this year with the announcement that its handheld will be hitting retail in the female friendly colour too.

As part of a deal with US singer Pink, a limited edition PSP value pack will go on sale from October 27th at £169, and will include white headphones with remote control, pouch, wrist strap and a 32mb Memory Stick Duo.

There’s also an exclusive Pink UMD as part of the bundle, which includes videos, live performances and interviews with the US star. More content is to be made available for download in the next few months.

“The Pink PSP launch is much more than just launching a new colour,” said Stephane Hareau, PSP senior brand manager at SCEE. “It is about a confident and powerful attitude for young women. The association with Pink will enable PSP to push new boundaries.”
