Namco and Bandai have combined to create a new European games publisher – and are targeting a bigger share of the market than ever before.
Namco Bandai Games Europe will integrate Namco and Bandai games operations in the territory onto one label. The move follows a similar alignment in Japan and North America by the two companies.
“The integration has been extremely exciting for all concerned,” said Masayuki Matsuo, president of Namco Bandai Games Europe.
“The collective strength of our two companies will allow us to position ourselves and our products more aggressively in Europe, competing alongside top tier publishers and supporting our distribution partners to maximise sales and marketing opportunities.”
The company’s brands include Pac-Man, Tamagotchi, Tekken, Digimon, Ridge Racer and Dragon Ball Z.
