Rockstar is remaining tight-lipped on the possibility of the US bound PS2 iteration of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy heading to UK retail.
The bundle, which is already confirmed for a December 4th release in North America, does not yet appear on Rockstar’s European release schedule. A Rockstar spokesperson told MCV: “We currently have no plans to launch the PS2 version of GTA Trilogy in the UK that I have heard of.”
However, it is not unknown for Rockstar to hold back on games announcements until very close to release. There is still no announcement of a PS2 iteration of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, though following the success of GTA: Liberty City Stories’ transition from PSP to PS2, its eventual release is almost a certainty.
GTA: The Trilogy arrived on Xbox in October last year following the release of a GTAIII/Vice City double pack prior to that. A PS2 release of the triple-pack would be a fitting final current-gen hurrah for the all-conquering series.
