Analyst: 20,000 US PS3s already sold on eBay

In its latest report, US financial analysts Lazard Capital Markets has estimated that 20,000 PS3 units bought in the US had already made their way to eBay.

Lazard analyst Sebastian also noted that ten to 15 per cent of US PS3 buyers had purchased the console with the intention of reselling it at a profit.

Elsewhere in the paper, Sebastian predicted that Nintendo will ship 150,000 - 200,000 Wii units to the US in each week of 2006.

‘Our retail checks and comments from specialist retailer GameStop indicate that there is strong demand for PS3 and Wii ahead of meaningful replenishments, while the XBox360 appears to be benefiting from new console shortages and the release of new title Gears of War,’ added Sebastian.
