Casual games publisher moves into Europe

US publisher MumboJumbo is to begin releasing titles in Europe in a bid to become the dominant casual games company in the territory.
The firm has previously released popular games including Luxor, Super Collapse 3, Cubis 2 and Jewel Quest in the US. It will continue to concentrate on PC and handheld formats.
"MumboJumbo has assembled the strongest line-up of premium casual games complemented by titles from the major casual games developers and publishers, including GameHouse, iWin, Reflexive, Fresh Games, Funkitron, and Wild Tangent, which provide a key competitive advantage in approaching the European market," said CEO of MumboJumbo Mark Cottam.
"Leveraging MumboJumbo’s market experience and leadership to bring proven brands to the to gamers across Europe is the next step in our evolution as a leading global publisher of premium casual games."
The company has added industry veteran George Bray as its international brand manager and promises more recruitment in the near future. Bray leaves his post at software publisher Idigicon, and will be responsible for marketing Mumbo Jumbo’s first titles across Europe.
