Sega has revealed that Shiny Entertainment is developing The Golden Compass.
The US studio, which was bought by Foundation 9 from Atari last year, is developing the title for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PC and PSP. Artificial Mind And Movement is developing a DS version.
The game, which is due for release in December, will complement the cinema release of The Golden Compass – the first novel in Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy.
The fantasy story of The Golden Compass is set in a parallel world, which is populated by witches, armoured talking bears and a mysterious organisation called The Gobblers.
Shiny has previously created hits including MDK and Enter The Matrix.
