New boss due for Activision Europe

Tricia Bertero is returning to the US after completion of her two year contract running Activision Europe.

MCV understands that the US publishing giant is preparing to make a statement about new senior exec appointments, including a big name signing.

For the nine-month period to December 31st 2006, Activision hit global net revenues of $1.2bn.

International sales did not follow the upward trend. They fell by 14 per cent and contributed 47 per cent of the global total. This is compared to a 51 per cent contribution during the first nine months of the previous year.

The full year global sales forecast was recently increased to $1.4bn and, after some tough times, things are clearly improving for the company.

It is also understood that Activision is more than happy with European performance during Bertero's reign, with important budget milestones being successfully reached and key re-organisation having been completed.
