Nintendo stores get re-fit incentive

Koch Media is offering independent retailers a free £15,000 makeover through an innovative new Nintendo promotion.

The 'Bling My Store' campaign will be open to all retail accounts purchasing hardware and software through Koch, which runs the popular Nindie.com service.

Between now and the end of September there will be two winners of £15,000 shop re-fits, plus staff benefits such as new uniforms and even hair-cuts.

"Think Changing Rooms meets 10 Years Younger, except there won't be any plastic surgery," Koch sales and marketing director Paul Nicholls told MCV.

"We're supporting our indie customers by helping to drive business and give them something that really adds benefit. It will be good fun for the stores too."

Winners will be the outlets achieving greatest market share ahead of carefully set quarter targets, with results updated weekly on the Nindie.com website.

"It's very much a level playing field for stores of all sizes," added Nicholls. "It is performance over target that counts, not just size. We're about to take 10 winners from our pre-Xmas incentive to Las Vegas and this promotion should prove just as popular."
