Lucky first PS3 owners given Bravia TV at UK Virgin Megastores' official launch.
SCE UK boss Ray Maguire was on hand last night to announce a shock extra treat for faithful PlayStation fans, which he called a reward for their patience.
Every gamer waiting in line at Virgin Megastores' midnight opening on Oxford Street was given a 46-inch high-definition Bravia TV as the PS3 finally arrived in Europe.
17-year-old Ritatsu Thomas (pictured) was swamped by the media as he became the first official UK PS3 owner, having waited in line for around 36 hours.
Sony also ensured its fanbase got home safely by laying on cabs for every new PS3 owner.
The event was one of many midnight launches held across the UK last night, and with GAME and HMV opening their doors early this morning for their own PS3 launch events, gamers can at long last get their hands on the most talked-about piece of games hardware ever.
