Sony denies 80GB PS3

Sony claims that a revised 80GB PS3 is not in the works.

The latest rumours of a PS3 hardware revision, which was said to incorporate a 80GB hard drive, have been staunchly denied by the company, Eurogamer reports.

Fresh speculation arose when it was revealed that a Sony filing with the US Federal Communications Commission to change the Bluetooth functionality of its PS3 listed an 80GB model along with the standard 60Gb and 20GB models.

However, a Sony Europe spokesman has stated: “The 80GB we're not making a comment on, but we don't have any plans at the moment.”
