THQ reveals details of new wrestling title.
The next iteration in the WWE Smackdown! vs Raw franchise will appear on Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, DS and PSP this year.
THQ has confirmed that Smackdown! vs Raw 2008 will incorporate new Struggle Submission and Superstar Fighting Style features, but the publisher is yet to elaborate on what both will entail.
The release will mark the largest ever cross-platform launch for the franchise.
The game is set to hit the US in Autumn – with a pre-Christmas release expected in Europe.
“We are extremely pleased with the success of the SmackDown vs Raw franchise and its continued growth to a widespread audience, particularly in our European markets,” said senior VP of worldwide marketing at THQ Bob Aniello.
