In-game advertising firm Double Fusion has appointed Frank Sagnier as European managing director. He joins from EA where he was European vice president of online publishing.

The news comes in the same week that the company has announced a multi-title deal with THQ.

"Frank has been a major force within the European publishing scene for the past 12 years," said Double Fusion's CEO Jonathan Epstein. "His knowledge of the key players and the machinations of the European publishing scene will obviously help us to fast-track our efforts in Europe. This is going to be a very exciting year for Double Fusion."

Sagnier added: "It's early days, but in-game advertising is already becoming hugely exciting as major brands wake up to the true potential this unique medium has to offer. We're also beginning to see the major interactive brands placing in-game advertising at the core of their future growth strategies, so this is the perfect time to be joining Double Fusion, a company that has consistently taken a leadership role within the sector."

Meanwhile, Double Fusion's new agreement with THQ sees the company take responsibility for advertising across certain platforms for several of THQ's upcoming titles.
