Over 100,000 MMO fans signed up to Eidos’ Age of Conan Beta over Easter.
The new title, which won several Best MMO awards at last year’s E3, is seen as one of the few upcoming titles that could challenge World of Warcraft as top online title.
“We’re naturally very pleased to see that so many dedicated gamers are signing up for the Beta at such a rapid pace,” said Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. “With more than 100,000 gamers signed up in such a short time-frame our confidence in the game’s potential and its ability to be a major contender in the MMO genre continues to be strengthened.”
Conan: Hyborian Adventures is being dubbed as a key Games for Windows title, and one of the first major titles to take advantage of DirectX 10.
