Bloomberg reports that Iwata revealed the figures at a news conference in Tokyo. He added that the ‘next batch’ of games will hit the market by the summer.
 
The news comes after Nintendo released an impressive set of financial results, as sales tripled and net income hit 42.4 million Yen (around £178m).

Nintendo also revealed that it believes Wii will shift 14 million units this fiscal year, more than three times the number sold so far.
