Nintendo’s latest handheld instalments become fastest selling Poke-titles yet.
The gaming phenomenon that is Pokemon appears to be going from strength to strength with the news that the latest instalments in the franchise, Diamond and Pearl, have already sold over one million copies in the US.
Having only hit US shelves on April 22nd, this represents a new record for the series, which debuted on the Game Boy in 1995.
Diamond and Pearl have already sold five million copies between them since their release in Japan last September. To date the series has sold more than 155 million games worldwide across Nintendo platforms.
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be released across Europe on June 30th.
