Firm confident of consolidating its position as a top three UK publisher after financials

Last week, the company announced a like-for-like total sales jump of almost 25 per cent for the full year ending March 31st.

And now Ubisoft is setting its sights on claiming market share from the likes of EA and THQ with its ‘best ever’ product line-up.

“Already this year we stand as the number two publisher in Europe, and with our portfolio nicely balanced with next generation games and those appealing to a more mainstream audience, we are well positioned to maintain our UK position in the top three publishers,” Ubisoft’s UK MD Rob Cooper told MCV.

“The UK team’s contribution has been significant to the company’s overall full year revenue.

We are obviously very proud of what we have achieved.”

Top-line titles from Ubisoft still to come this year include Tom Clancy RTS End War and new IP Assassin’s Creed. Much of the firm’s upcoming slate will be revealed at its Ubidays event in Paris on May 22nd and 23rd.

“One of the key reasons that we believe we have our best product line-up in history is the massive investment that has gone into our 16 studios and into our development globally over the past four years,” added Cooper. “This is now really coming into fruition and is culminating in the creation of top quality product and ground-breaking new IPs.”
