
MCV unveils full global, European and UK data for Wii and DS
Nintendo UK boss David Yarnton has revealed that the platform holder has smashed the sales targets for its new home console Wii, as well as racking up a phenomenal 40m DS sales globally.
The UK general manager said: “We’ve sold close to 438,000 Wiis in the UK in five months. It’s really hard to have targets – we have seen unprecedented demand.
“Yes, we set targets originally and we have definitely exceeded those. They are continually being re-assessed all the time.”
