Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground heading to 360, PS3, Wii, PS2 and DS
Activision has lifted the curtain on this year’s instalment in its globally successful Tony Hawk’s franchise, Proving Ground, which is headed for all next-gen consoles, as well as PS2 and DS, this autumn.
Chief amongst the new features is a fully-fledged video-editing mode that allows players to capture their best trick lines and stunts. Last year’s Nail-the-Trick mode, which many pundits claimed successfully rejuvenated the franchise last time out, also makes a return and undergoes something of a revamp.
Players will be able to ‘seamlessly’ switch between single player and online multiplayer in-game. In addition, customisation options are said to be massively increased too, as is the level of freedom afforded to players.
“Tony Hawk's Proving Ground drops players into the skateboarding world like never before,” the president of developer Neversoft Joel Jewett stated. “You can skate the best lines, define your own style and produce your own videos. You can even take it further by tricking out your own Skate Lounge, where you can hang out and skate with others online.”
