Colin McRae skids onto Xbox Live

Rumoured release date of June 15th for 360 and PC version

A demo of Codemasters’ hotly anticipated next-gen rally title Colin McRae: DIRT has arrived on Microsoft’s Xbox Live service and Codemasters’ website – and if reports are to believed, the full game will be arriving at retail in just three weeks.

Eurogamer claims that the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the racer will be released on June 15th, with the PS3 iteration to follow at a later date.

The 360 demo itself contains three modes; Crossover, which pits players against McRae himself in a Subaru Impreza WRX; Championship Off-Road Racing, which is a fearsome V8 650hp battle between the player and nine CPU players; and Hill Climb, a race to a mountain peak in a Mitsubishi Evo IX.

PC gamers get the same first two modes, but instead of Hill Climb will instead get an online multiplayer level, which can accommodate up to 100 competitors.
