Home console tops bumper Easter revenues
Nintendo enjoyed its biggest sales period of 2007 for Wii last week.
MCV understands that revenues of the console in the week ending May 29th were higher than in any other period of the year so far – including the traditional sales peak of the Easter holiday.
The news bodes well for both stock-starved retailers and consumers desperate to get their hands on the console – with the upturn in sales signifying an increase of hardware hitting the channel.
Last month, MCV unveiled full global, European and UK data for Wii and DS sales, with the home console having sold 5.84 million units worldwide since launch.
