Microsoft renews deal with US firm Twentieth Century Fox for the licence to the hugely popular Xbox 360 franchise Halo

Twentieth Century Fox has continued its licensing agreement with Microsoft for a number of products based on the Halo franchise set for launch this Autumn, reports GamesIndustry.

The original deal was signed in 2005, which allowed Twentieth Century Fox to manage a merchandising and licensing programme for a number of products including clothes, accessories, toys and print publications.

"Fox has become the primary licensor for the Halo franchise," confirmed Tina Conley, senior account executive for Xbox.

Elsewhere, it has been confirmed that toy vendor McFarlane Toys is set to produce a number of action figures based on the forthcoming title Halo 3, due for release on September 26th.
