Super Paper Mario and Trauma Centre: Second Opinion dated on Wii, with Metroid Prime 3 confirmed for the end of the year
Next week’s release of Capcom’s Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition marks the beginning of what Nintendo hopes will be a successful summer for its consoles – and the platform holder has now confirmed what titles it will be bringing to the table in the coming months.
Following the delayed release of Wii title Mario Party 8 on July 13th, the highly anticipated Trauma Centre: Second Opinion will hit European shelves on August 10th, followed by the quirky platform-RPG hybrid Super Paper Mario on September 14th.
In addition, the Japanese firm has stated that Wii duo Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles will arrive ‘when the nights start to draw in’ – which almost definitely means this Q4.
Nintendo also confirmed the release dates of a number of DS games, including More Brain Training on June 29th, Elite Beat Angels on July 13th and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl on July 27th. It also confirmed that oddball platformer Freshly Picked – Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland will arrive in Europe on September 14th.

Elite Beat Agents on the DS has taken nearly as long to come out over here but is good to see it get a European release (great game). I believe it is the European translation etc that holds it all up.

Trauma centre and Super Paper Mario are the two games I've been looking forward to most on the Wii. I've barely touched it since I finished Zelda, but these two are gonna get plenty of play! And yes, Elite BEat Angels has been a while coming, so thank god for that. I've compelted the Japanese version so probably won't get the UK one myself, but it's good the UK public will finalyl get the chance. And they're even bringing that Tingle game out here! Nice move Nintendo! They might be slow, but they deliver the goods in the end.
