Oscar winning Hollywood star confirmed as the face of Nintendo’s pan-European marketing campaign for upcoming DS title
Ahead of the release of DS title More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima: How Old is Your Brain? this Friday, NoE has confirmed that Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman has been signed up to lead its pan-European marketing campaign.
Kidman will appear in both print and TV ads across Europe, with her first airing scheduled for ITV1 tonight at 7:45pm.
Nicole Kidman stated: “I love the concept that Nintendo is reaching out to new audiences with their self improvement products like Brain Training. Most importantly, I’ve quickly found that training my brain is a great way to keep my mind young.”
Nintendo UK’s marketing director Dawn Paine added: “The Brain Training phenomenon is sweeping the globe, enjoyed by over 10 million people from grandparents to Oscar winning actors. We believe that Nicole Kidman’s leading role in the campaign and the revelation of her DS Brain Age will surprise and excite people all over Europe.”
The successful signing of Kidman is very much in line with Nintendo’s hugely successful strategy of targeting a wider mass-market for its products, which in turn has lead to significant success for both the Wii and DS.

Brain Games
I have been working in the brain fitness space since 2001 and we have come along way. There has been significant scientific studies over the last 5 years that illustrate how we can maintain and develop our cognitive skills through our lifespan. Our company has started to launch pilots that provide more efficacy to our software. I truly believe the next 5 years will see a lot of positive developments in this area.
