Original titles to join retro games in Wii download offering, with developers invited to participate
Newsweek has seemingly confirmed a long-running rumour that the Wii will soon play host to an original download games serivce - and that Nintendo is hoping to open the service up to indie developers, Develop reports.
According to the report Nintendo filled developers in on its plans at the Nintendo Developers Conference in Santa Monica, held yesterday.
The focus will be on short-from games and Nintendo is aparently set to confirm the details later today.
What some may find unsurprising however is the level of control Nintendo will exercise: according to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime would decide pricing for each game on a per-title bases, but would not vet submissions, only testing them for QA.
