Supreme Commander sequel confirmed

PC RTS follow-up named Forged Alliance due out this November

Developer Gas Powered Games has confirmed that it is developing a sequel to THQ’s February PC hit Supreme Commander called Forged Alliance – and that it is currently due out on PC this November.

Whilst the game does not require the first title to run, THQ is describing it as more of an expansion pack than full-blown sequel. It will feature a brand new single player campaign, a new faction and over 100 new units.

"Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is not only the continuation of the epic story that is unfolding inside the game's universe,” Gas Powered Games CEO Chris Taylor stated.

“It is the continuation of our goal to move the bar for RTS gaming even higher than ever. Forged Alliance offers over 100 new units, more maps and an entirely new faction. We are stuffing this game with all kinds of new features."
