Nintendo of America president claims that his firm is not worried about mature content appearing on Wii
In an interview Newsweek’s N’Gai Croal, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has said that the issue of adult-orientated games is no more sensitive for his firm than it is for any of its competitors.
Asked if he was regretful of his decision to encourage Take 2 to support Wii, he answered: "This is not an image issue. Wii welcomes games rated E, T and M.
“We haven't approved AO-rated games. I doubt we ever will. What Rockstar has right now is a game rated outside our spectrum, outside any manufacturer's spectrum."
Fila-Aime also denied that the fact that because Manhunt 2 on Wii was designed to use the motion sensing Remote, the Wii version was likely to be more worrying to US rating body ELSPA.
"That's an issue for the ESRB and Rockstar to work through,” he stated. “And as I understand the ESRB guidelines, the Wii controls should not be an issue."

duh ?!!
come on - we all knew that Man Hunt 2 was going to be a controversial game on the Wii - regardless of whether it was rated E (as if!) or AO. By the very nature of the game, how could both Take 2 or Nintendo ever have thought they could release it and not create any controversy regardless of the rating ? especially on the Wii considering its core customer is the new age "casual" gamer (Take 2 are probably loving the publicity creating controversy anyways)
