Ubisoft apologises for accidental charging of Xbox Live downloadable content

A mistake from French publisher Ubisoft has lead to thousands of Xbox Live users paying for the recent Rainbow Six: Vegas downloadable content that should have been free.

The Black Pack, which went live last week, offers brand new multiplayer maps for the tactical shooter. However, early adopters were charged 800 Microsoft points for the download, which is now available online for free.

“Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack downloadable content for Xbox 360 Live was originally intended to be free content for the fans of Rainbow Six Vegas,” a Ubisoft statement read.

“We apologise for the error. All players who purchased the Black Pack will be reimbursed automatically within eight to ten weeks.”
