360 Elite to hit Japan in September

European launch date still unknown

Microsoft’s Japanese division has announced that Xbox 360 Elite will launch in the region on October 11th.

Tom Ivan at next-gen.biz reports that the revamped console will retail for 47,800 Yen (£190/$390).

When the system was launched in the US at the end of April, it went on sale for $479.

Microsoft has yet to announce a European release date for the Elite, but the end of August has been touted by online sources.

Microsoft should first resolve the issues with the initial 360 hardware before they made this.. they should have also added HDMI 1.3 like the PS3 has rather then stick with 1.2a.
