A rumoured Wii outing for Nintendo’s legendary Mario Kart series have been doing the rounds for quite some time now, and N-Europe reports that confirmation of the title will arrive from the platform holder at E3 later this week.

Though no official word has emerged as of yet, the theory would support the long-running industry whispers.

However, it is also being reported that whilst Mario Kart will wing its way to European retail before the end of the year, multiplayer romp Super Smash Brothers Brawl will miss the 2007 release window in Europe.
