Gamestation has told MCV that it will be offering its own digital downloads service by the end of 2007.

“We believe that digital downloads will be key to online retail in the long term and, as such, we are working on a strategy for the Gamestation website,” said online commercial manager Frazer Locke.

"We are still finalising these plans, but we should have some form of digitial downloads service in place before the end of the year, which we can build on into 2008 and beyond.

“The key decisions we need to make are which service we want to offer and what publisher we are going to work with.”
