Sky backs PSP video download service

Joint venture with Sony to offer video and film content to blossoming handheld

The future is looking bright for PSP, what with the redesigned model and now talk of a PS2 controller adapter on the way – and now Sony’s upcoming video download service for the handheld has received a massive boost with the news that Sky will be playing a major part.

Sony and Sky have formed a Joint Venture company to deliver on-demand video and film downloads to PSP in the UK and Ireland, with the aim of making the machine the leading video download platform in the market.

Discussions have already begun with the huge number of content providers who already have strong working relationships with Sky.

More information is promised for the Leipzig Games Convention, which kicks off on August 22nd.

Whats the point in this? I don't get it, you can download or stream movies to your PSP, why would you want to watch a movie on such a small machine?

What do you mean What's the Point?

Sky Digital is the Best Tv platform in the UK & Rep Ireland

there are over 1,100 channels on Sky (Includes Radio)

Don't Slag of Sky(Satellite TV) or Telewest (Cable TV)

They're the best
Unlike ****ty Direct TV, More like (Direct in Debt)

It would be better if Sky made Sky tv portable and had epg software built in.

Sky have great TV Guide music too
