Chubachi has said there will be no PS3 price drop in Europe or Asia
After dropping the cost of the PS3 in the US earlier this month, president of Sony Ryoji Chubachi has announced that there will be no similar price cutting in Asia or Europe “at this point,” reported Bloomberg.
The boss of the platform holder refused to shed light on whether or not there would be a price drop in either region in the near future, stating: “About the future, no comment.''
However some commentators have noted that an announcement was made that there were no plans to drop the price of the console at all on July 6th – three days before the US price cut was announced.

If they don't do something about the price soon in Europe, they may as well shoot themselves now. I work in a games retail shop, and the performance of the console is currently being urinated on from a great height by Ninty, and even MS. People DO want a PS3, what they DON'T want is to pay through the nose for a console that can't even muster a full compliment of decent exclusives.
