Eidos veteran Larry Sparks to join Square Enix as vice president of marketing for all PAL territories on October 1st.
The renowned industry veteran joins after a spell as global brand director at Eidos, where he oversaw the revival of the key Tomb Raider franchise, the continued success of the Hitman series, and the introduction of Just Cause as a key IP.
The appointment is quite a coup for Square and a serious statement of intent from a publisher already on the rise and looking to go into overdrive over the next few years as its portfolio and industry profile expand in tandem.
Sparks commented: "I am thrilled to be joining Square Enix and have the opportunity to work on world class brands."
"I look forward to making a major contribution to the future success of the company."
