Brash makes new publishing move

Start-up firm to release Alvin And The Chipmunks game

Recently established US start-up video games firm Brash Entertainment has announced that it is to publish a game adaptation of 20th Century Fox’s upcoming movie of Alvin And The Chipmunks.

The rhythm title is slated for release on Wii, PC, PS2 and DS during the Christmas period in the US – in tandem with the film – reports The Hollywood Reporter.

"We're going to try and get out there day-and-date with all our games tied to theatrical releases because that's when there's the most excitement around a franchise,” said Brash president and COO Nicholas Longano.

The movie stars My Name Is Earl’s Jason Lee as the Chipmunks' dad, Dave Seville.

Brash Entertainment entered the video games industry earlier this year, announcing that it had raised $400 million of funding and had very strong links with the US film industry.

In June, it revealed that it was to published games of two Warner Bros movie properties in the US: action movie 300 and gore-fest horror Saw.
