Xbox 360 price dropped, as new version is set for launch this week

Microsoft has this morning announced that it is to reduce the price of the Xbox 360 hardware, with the 20GB Premium version dropped to £249.99 and the Core console reduced to £179.99.

The new price points take effect from Friday (August 24th) – as Microsoft also introduces the Xbox 360 Elite to the market. The new 120GB black console will be priced at £299.99.

"We're pleased to be able to offer Xbox 360 at a new, lower estimated retail price," said Xbox UK's head of gaming and entertainment Stephen McGill.
