Argos guns for bigger video game presence

Mail order retailer Argos has stepped up its video games business

The latest Argos catalogue has 27 pages dedicated to games – compared to the 18 pages that appeared in last year’s Autumn/Winter edition.

In total, 290 software titles are now featured.

“This increased commitment has enabled us to introduce a dedicated ‘coming soon’ section across the platform ranges, informing customers of new titles we will be stocking later in the year,” a company spokesperson told MCV.

“We have also included promotional material in the catalogue to draw attention to the new extended online range, which features over 200 additional games and is updated continually. This focus on developing our video games range shows it is a key area of growth within the company and highlights our commitment to delivering more choice for all our customers.”
