David Reeves says PSOne, PS2 and PS3 will reach milestone in three years
SCEE boss David Reeves has told an excited Leipzig crowd that Sony expects over 140 million PlayStation systems to be installed in PAL territory homes by 2010.
The figure – which is greater than the entire population of Japan – is made up of consumers who had a PSOne, PS2 or PS3 in their homes.
Before announcing new hardware add-ons for PS3 and PSP, Reeves added that PS3 had enjoyed an impressive tie ratio of 2.6 in Europe and that both Resistance: Fall of Man and Motorstorm had sold over 500,000 copies each in the EU.
