Potential takeover bid could cost suitor £300m, says report
After this morning’s confirmation that the UK publisher is in preliminary talks with a third party in relation to a possible offer for the company, Thisismoney.co.uk has claimed that EA, Warner and Ubisoft are in the running for the company.
Shares have already jumped from 37.5p to 375.5p in the aftermath of the city announcement this morning.
While no actual bid has been tabled yet, it is certain that any potential deal would be hugely lucrative for CEO Jane Cavanagh and proprty tycoon Robert Tchenguiz, who each have significant stakes in the company.
