TGS: Rumble controller coming to PS3

Long-awaited accessory coming to Japan in November

SCE has announced its first Dualshock PlayStation 3 wireless controller – which will finally bring rumble functionality to a PS3 pad.

The peripheral will launch in Japan in November, and will be sold separately to the PS3 console. It will also incorporate the motion-sensing aspects of the current Sixaxis controller.

Sony has also confirmed a list of games that will be compatible with the controller in Europe. This includes:

It's pretty funny, because a number of those games listed are already released (in fact some were launch titles!) which means they knew months ago that they would launch a rumble controller and made the software libraries to enable it in those games. That or they're going to patch those games?

Oddly, I see FIFA franchise on the list, but not PES. Therefore, based on which football game sells best, we can determine whether rumble is important or not! :-)
