Last Gen Tech
Rumble eh?
What's next? Games?
Re: Last Gen Tech
"We have no plans to do so in the standard controller that ships with PlayStation 3. I believe that the Sixaxis controller offers game designers and developers far more opportunity for future innovation than rumble ever did. Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it's not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don't see the need to do that." - Phil Harrison, Sony, February 2007.
Re: Last Gen Tech
It's pretty funny, because a number of those games listed are already released (in fact some were launch titles!) which means they knew months ago that they would launch a rumble controller and made the software libraries to enable it in those games. That or they're going to patch those games?
Oddly, I see FIFA franchise on the list, but not PES. Therefore, based on which football game sells best, we can determine whether rumble is important or not! :-)
