Halo 3 hits file-sharing sites

Xbox 360 shooter already doing the rounds in pirate circles

A week ahead of its official European release, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 epic FPS Halo 3 has appeared on internet file-sharing sites, allowing owners of modified consoles to download and play the game, according to CVG.

Whether or not this is linked to Argos’ mistaken early selling of the game on Wednesday is impossible to tell.

Owners of a normal Xbox 360 are not able to play the pirated software, so the leak only affects those who have already braved the possibility of a Live ban by opening up their machines.

Halo 3 is released in the UK on September 26th.

we will stop buying from suppliers which is a shame, but why buy from gem when Halo 3 is £37 at woolies, gem £39 we cancelled 200 copies we would loose £2 per game if we tried to compete, and i dont call selling at a lose competing. Its not gems fault but these is no incentive to buy from suppliers now. trade ins will feel the squeeze also as new prices are driven down, you have to buy lower to sell at a fair and profitable price, unlike game, used 360s @ £279.99 at the time same price as a new console, what a joke.

think all indies will just be massive indoor car boot sales as we will only sell used, as for moaning, there is nothing else to do, no other life line offered, joining forces is a organistaional nightmare imagine 50 indies trying to place orders together each week, nice idea but it couldnt work.

suppliers will end up with 3 accounts, Asda ,tesco, Amazon, which means alot of telesales loosing their jobs !!
this industry only works for majors, indies are not important to suppliers or publishers.

Either toughen up or **** off.

I'm not going to tell you how to run your businesses but unless you grow a pair of balls, sto****ooting around and start running your own businesses your own way the vast majority of Inides will be gone in the next two years.

May eplay be a warning to you all. The partners where shining examples of model businessmen - I'm not going to pretend I know the mechanics of their demise as I don't but what I do know is that Indies are not going to survive by fighting by queensbury rules.

Either kick your competitors in the nuts or prepare for the hiding of your lives.
