Leading analyst Nick Parker forecasts PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii performance up to 2011
PlayStation 3 will be leading the scrap for home console supremacy by 2011, but will have a difficult Christmas thanks to a lack of quality software, according to the exclusive report.

Really ?
Maybe it is a little too soon, but it's interesting that this report does not consider the possibility of Microsoft (or Nintendo for that matter) releasing (or at least announcing) a new console before 2011 ?
Sure any new console would not have a significant installed base by this date, but could not even something like an announcement of a new console erode any forecasts to the potential PS3 installed base in 2011 ? (aka Dreamcast vs PS2). It's a possibility.
Also, the 10 year "future proofing" of the PS3 does not make any sense - it disregards the fact that technology changes rapidly and therefore how do you "future proof" something against technology that is not even known about yet ?
I think it is still too early on to be making such a forecast. But I guess that what analysts do.

Re: Right......
I own a PS3, it's a major dissappointment and I can't sell the thing for more than half what I paid for it. Otherwise I would. I have been seeing articles like this since 2004. These idiots work for sony, there is no doubt in my mind.
