Halo 3 makes $300 million in first week

Microsoft figures confirm Bungie shooter is fastest selling video game ever

Xbox 360 console sales have also more than doubled since Halo’s release on Wednesday 26th September.

The title has also attracted nearly three million gamers to play online through Xbox Live.

“Halo is truly a cultural phenomenon, and the launch of Halo 3 is an important milestone for Xbox 360 and for video games as entertainment and as an art form,” said Microsoft chairman Bll Gates. “Halo 3 embodies our vision for the future of entertainment , where some of the world’s greatest creative minds will deliver a new generation of interactive storytelling.”

The big question though is how much of that $300 million will be returned to consumers in the 2nd week!

One look at the bungie and Xbox.com forums will show you the huge number of people that are having issues getting Halo 3 to play.

Well for Bungie that's hardly a problem as it'sthe stores that deal with the headache. Hopefully a patch will fix this issue, making these copies reselable, granted of course, people have access to live or internet.

What on earth are you people talking about???!!!

Campaign is fine there are only a small number of people that have issues howeve I have only 1 during the movie scene when you leave the main screen on when it goes into the cutscenes the music cuts out now and again.

Single player has NO issues for me or any of my friends on Xbox Live.
