EA’s football franchise ousts Halo 3 at the top of the ChartTrack All Formats Top 40
After playing second fiddle to the might of Halo 3 last week, a 79 per cent drop in sales for Bungie’s Xbox 360 FPS has paved the way this week for EA’s FIFA 08 to claim the top spot in the ChartTrack All Formats Top 40.
It’s the third ChartTrack Week 40 in a row that the FIFA series has topped the software charts, after similar success in both 2005 and 2006.
Elsewhere in the Top Ten, THQ’s Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights climbs two places to number three, knocking EA duo MySims and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 down to fourth and fifth spots respectively.
Nintendo’s More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima and Sega’s Sega Rally hold firm in sixth and seventh respectively, with THQ’s Ratatouille climbing from 39th to claim number eight. Nintendo’s Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training and Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 2 claim the final two Top Ten positions.
Elsewhere in the Top 40, Ubisoft’s CSI: Hard Evidence debuts at 24 and THQ duo Conan and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts enter the charts in 32nd and 34th spots respectively.

Well durr
The key word here is 'Multiplatform'
Considering this game is on PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 add it all up and you have a no.1 game, however it was impressive to see HALO 3 at no.1 despite Fifa being a multiplatform title for a couple of weeks.
