Next-gen successor to the EyeToy to hit European retail on November 7th
PlayStation Eye, the next-gen PS3 version of PS2’s successful EyeToy peripheral, will be released as a standalone unit in Europe on November 7th, SCEE has confirmed.
Costing £24.99, the kit will come with free software package EyeCreate, which lets you record videos, audio and take pictures, all of which can be stored on the PS3’s hard drive.
However, gamers will be able to get their hands on the PlayStation Eye earlier when it arrives bundled with interactive board game The Eye of Judgement on October 26th. Its release will also coincide with the arrival of a number of compatible titles on the PlayStation Network, such as Aqua Vita and The Trials of Topoq.
Those who buy The Eye of Judgement will be able to download EyeCreate for free from the PlayStation Network.
