Debut show goes down a storm, with organiser IDG ‘thrilled’ with attendance figures
The inaugural E for All show drew to a close yesterday, with organisers IDG World Expo estimating attendees to be in the region of 18,000.
An audience made up of gamers, developers, retailers, and members of the media were given the opportunity to sample forthcoming games, enter tournaments and sit in on developer sessions.
Over 70 video games companies took out booths at the event, inviting visitors of the Las Angeles Convention Centre to participate in a Guitar Hero competition, watch a show down between Los Angeles basketball players Corey Maggette and Derek Fisher and meet professional gamers such as Johnathan ‘Fatal1ty’ Wendel.
“We are thrilled with the attendance, and we are pleased that we delivered the event we aimed for, which was a celebration that truly was for the entire game community," said Mary Dolaher, CEO of IDG World Expo. “With over 18,000 attendees on the show floor, from gamers and exhibitors, to developers, retailers and families, the mood was always fun and energetic. The response to the event was overwhelmingly positive, and we want to thank everyone for their tremendous support of E for All. We can't wait to see you back at the Los Angeles Convention Centre next year at E for All's 2008 show.”

I got to got to the E For All show, and it was great. Price of $50 was high, but they did have a lot of games that you could try. The Netendo booth had all the Wii games and Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the best!! Stood in line 3 times for it!! Got to try the new Guitar Hero and RockBand. The Fatal1ty booth was pimp with the Challenge bus in i****ched a shootout, Fatal1ty showed no mercy and wiped the floor with the challengers – he really is first class and a great player. I also saw his new 8800GTS card by XFX, and it is a sweet looking card. I did play Stermy in FIFA 07, and got my *** kicked – Stermy is a really cool dude as well. Then Vanessa from the Championship Gaming beat everyone in DOA. I also spent time in the EA booth and got the hang of Left 4 Dead and Warhammer Online. Oh, the Simpsons Game was funny as hell!!!
