No More Heroes, the latest title from acclaimed developer Goichi Suda aka Suda 51, will be published by Rising Star in Europe in February next year, it has been confirmed.

Suda’s last title, Grasshopper Manufacture’s Killer 7, may not have been a massive commercial hit, but its release on GameCube, and subsequently PS2, was greeted with roaring approval of hardcore gamers and the title went on to become a large cult favourite.

“Rising Star Games is very excited to be bringing this latest project from Suda 51 to the European market,” Rising Star MD Martin Defries stated.

“He is without doubt a legendary creative powerhouse within the gaming industry. No More Heroes is shaping up to be a widely anticipated Q1 title for both the trade and consumers alike. It’s a massively engaging and immersive gaming experience for the Wii. This is exactly the right product to broaden the format’s appeal to a wider, more serious gaming audience."

No More Heroes boasts a similar cel-shaded art style to Killer 7, and sees gamers wielding the Wii Remote like a sword and controlling lightsaber-like ‘beam katanas’.
