Konami head joins Krome Melbourne

Kurt Busch to head up former Atari development studio

Krome Studios has announced that Konami’s former vice president of product development Kurt Busch is to head up its Melbourne Studio, the outfit that was formerly known as Melbourne House and owned by Atari.

As well as heading up the Melbourne operations, Busch will also liaise with its Adelaide and Brisbane studios, and will be working on several as yet unannounced projects.

"We're truly excited to have Kurt, who we've known and have had the opportunity to work with for many years," Krome Studios CEO Robert Walsh stated.

"Kurt displays an amazing level of passion and vision that's rare in the games industry, and it shows in every aspect of his professional career. His addition to the Krome team will help to further lead and drive our growth and success as one of the world's largest indie developers.

Krome Studios is the outfit behind titles such as The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, and is currently working on Viva Pinata Party Animals and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
