KOTOR 3 on the way? Or possibly a new Star Wars MMO? The rumour mill runs rife…
It has been confirmed that George Lucas’ LucasArts and RGP specialist BioWare are hard at work on an as of yet unannounced title, Next-Gen reports.
Nothing is yet known of the game, though LucasArts president Jim Ward stated: “Through our previous collaborations, we know that BioWare has an impressive ability to blend gripping stories with technological advancements, and we believe that our upcoming product will deliver an experience that will span the traditional boundaries of video game entertainment.”
BioWare has already enjoyed tremendous success with Xbox and PC classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and is known to be at work on an unknown MMORPG – something that was said to be a factor in EA’s recent decision to buy the developer.
The internet rumour-mill is already underway, with some fingers pointing toward a third outing for the KOTOR series, and others suggesting a brand new Star Wars MMO is almost certainly on the way.
