Sony snaps up sales duo

Mark Sutton and Sukhi Gidda join SCE UK

SCE UK has snapped up two new national account managers.

Sukhi Gidda joins the team with a string of industry jobs behind him, making the move to SCE directly from Buena Vista Games, where he spent over two years working on numerous titles such as Narnia, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spectrobes and High School Musical.

Before this Gidda spent three years at Nintendo, during which time he was involved in the launch of GBA SP, Resident Evil 4, Pokemon, Zelda and Mario.

“I am thrilled to have been appointed national account manager at SCE UK, and in particular am really looking forward to being a part of next generation gaming with PS3,” said Gidda.

Elsewhere, former DSGi man Mark Sutton has further bolstered SCE’s sales team. Sutton spent four years at DSGi, initially joining in 2003 as PC games buyer, before being promoted to category manager for games, which saw him managing all third party publishers for the retail giant.

Before this he spent two years at Virgin as product manager for range and hardware, later moving on to manage new release software.

“I’m really excited to be taking on my new role, looking after the grocery sector as well as all EUK accounts and bringing my
considerable category management experience of games to SCEE's sales division,” added Sutton.
