Sega’s Nights linked to Wii Weather

Upcoming colourful Wii romp to draw in-game weather from Nintendo’s Wii channel

Nights: Journey into Dreams, Sega’s upcoming Wii sequel to its celebrated Sega Saturn title, will draw information from Nintendo’s weather channel to alter the appearance of the in-game environment, Eurogamer reports.

The idea is that the in-game weather conditions will mimic whatever the weather is outside your window. In addition, the game’s creatures will alter their behaviour depending on the time of day and what season it is.

Nights: Journey into Dreams is due to be released in Europe in January.

I hope this feature can be turned off for the UK. I'm not sure I would want grey skies and rain everytime I play.

Perhaps a game that doesn't allow you to play at all when the weather is nice would be better, get some of those obese kids outdoors for a change. Obviously, I have just conjured up the worst videogame idea ever.

This is a bad idea, if it's Sega it's got to have Blue skies in it. Wonder how many people awaiting this on Wii ignored the Saturn version?
